What you need to know: Sacramento County, Placer County, and the city of El Cerrito have been designated as Prohousing communities and are eligible for funding incentives and additional resources through state grant programs to speed the production of housing. To date, a total of 10 California communities are now designated as Prohousing. SACRAMENTO – Today, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that an additional three communities, the city of El Cerrito and the counties of Placer and Sacramento, have earned the state's Prohousing Designation.
