The California Highway Patrol says two hikers are okay after being rescued from a beach at the Marin Headlands on Christmas Eve. Authorities report the individuals climbed down a cliff and became trapped near the water as the tide began to rise. CHP says a helicopter had to be called in to get the hikers out of the area. Fire departments from El Cerrito, Marin County, and the Southern Marin District, along with National Parks officers, assisted in the rescue.
